Courage over Fear

March was meant to be a very delightful month especially being my birth month. I didn't have much on my wish list but I planned to celebrate a birth milestone quietly and I began to until...COVID-19. Maybe you had big plans for the month of March like me. Maybe you had some big goals set for your career, your business, your family, your personal life, your finances but everything has suddenly come to a standstill. I want you to know that you are not alone.

Perhaps like you, I too have prayed, pondered and considered. There've been more times I didn't even know how to pray or what to say especially when I think of all the jobs and all of the lives that have been lost and impacted.

The truth is, I don't have the answers. I don't have any explanations but what I do know is that every day you and I wake up, it's a sign that there is still a purpose for our lives. In this tough moment, I'm holding on to the Words of Scripture - one that has helped me through some very fearful moments and seasons:

The Lord will work out his plans for my life—
for your faithful love, O Lord, endures forever.
Don’t abandon me, for you made me. Psalm 138:8 NLT

In this season, I pray that you and I will find:

Courage to live in spite of fear,
Courage to love those around us,
Courage to lead when there is a need.

Despite the uncertainty, I remain grateful for the opportunity to be alive. I pray you find the courage to do so as well.

You are in my thoughts.

Warmly,
V.J.
